Tazasil, silicate resin for sewer rehabilitation.
Three non-foaming, cold-curing two-component silicate resins for different processing temperatures, including as an impregnating resin for short liners.
3 resins, one system.
Tazasil S
Cold-curing, processed at 20–35 °C, gel time 35 min, curing 120 min (21 °C).
Tazasil W
Cold-curing, processed at 10–25 °C, gel time 15 min, curing 90 min (21 °C).
Tazasil CW
Cold-curing, processed at 0–15 °C, gel time 7 min, curing 45 min (21 °C).
S, W and CW compared.
| Product | Processing temperature | Gel time at 21 °C | Curing time at 21 °C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tazasil S | 20–35 °C | 35 min | 120 min |
| Tazasil W | 10–25 °C | 15 min | 90 min |
| Tazasil CW | 0–15 °C | 7 min | 45 min |
The processing temperature is the range of use. 21 °C is the test temperature for gel time and curing time. Gel time is not a pot life value.
Technical data common to all three resins
- System type

One system, three resins.
Tazasil S, W and CW differ in processing temperature, gel time and curing time. The times were measured at the test temperature of 21 °C.
Gel time is not the same as pot life. Components A and B mix well; that is not an approval to mix different resins with one another.
- Two-component silicate resin, non-foaming, cold-curing
- Mixing ratio A : B = 1 : 2 by volume
- Storage temperature 0–30 °C
- Three resins for three processing temperature ranges

Questions about Tazasil.
What is silicate resin?
Silicate resin is a class of resin based on silicates. At PS Resins, this product group is marketed under the name Tazasil. Tazasil is a non-foaming, cold-curing two-component silicate resin available as three resins (S, W and CW) that differ in processing temperature, gel time and curing time.
What is silicate resin used for in sewer rehabilitation?
Silicate resins can be used as a resin system for short liners in partial, trenchless sewer rehabilitation. Whether a resin suits a particular application depends on the carrier material, the method and the requirements placed on the pipe, and must be checked case by case.
