Resin for CIP systems (highly media-resistant).
Tazacryl HP: hydrolysis-resistant acrylate resin for pipe rehabilitation in dairies, breweries and the food industry.
What are clean-in-place (CIP) systems?
Clean-in-place (CIP) is the automated cleaning of production plants and pipes without dismantling them, mainly in food processing.
Resins for these pipes must withstand the chemical and thermal stresses of repeated cleaning cycles.
- Chemical: cleaning media such as acids and alkalis
- Thermal: elevated cleaning temperatures
- Repeated cleaning cycles over the service life
- Contact with production and process wastewater
Tg above 140 °C, stable modulus.
Tazacryl HP is a styrene-free, light-curing (UV) 1K acrylate resin. After 14 days at 80 °C, the modulus of elasticity falls by less than 1 % in 50 % NaOH and by less than 4 % in 32 % H₂SO₄.
The glass transition temperature is above 140 °C (DSC to DIN EN ISO 11357-2:2014-07).
The resin for your process.
This page does not replace a suitability assessment.
Tazacryl HP is not universally resistant to acids, alkalis or cleaning media, is not certified as food-grade and is not automatically suitable for every CIP system.
Suitability must be checked against your cleaning media, concentrations, temperatures and exposure times. Please contact us.
Quick answers.
What does clean-in-place (CIP) mean?
Clean-in-place (CIP) is the automated cleaning of production plants and pipework without dismantling them. Cleaning media are passed through the plant in several cycles, often at elevated temperature and with chemically active cleaning agents.
What stresses occur in CIP processes?
In CIP processes, pipes and plant components are typically exposed to a combination of chemical stress (e.g. acids, alkalis), thermal stress from elevated cleaning temperatures and repeated cleaning cycles. The exact stresses vary with the cleaning medium, concentration, temperature and exposure time and must be assessed for each plant individually.
Which resin systems are suitable for industrial wastewater pipes?
For industrial wastewater pipes under chemical and thermal stress, PS Resins offers systems such as Tazacryl HP, a hydrolysis-resistant acrylate resin with a high glass transition temperature. Suitability for a specific application must be checked against the cleaning media, concentrations, temperatures and exposure times involved.
