Development field: joints under sustained load and chemical exposure.
Two-component epoxy resins with adjustable pot life and adaptable mixing ratio. EP30 is cold-curing, EP60 cold- or heat-curing, EP120 and EP240 are heat-curing.
Cold-curing; technical data and data sheet on request.
Cold- or heat-curing: pot life 23 min, cures in 45 min at 60 °C.
Heat-curing: pot life 60 min, cures in 90 min at 60 °C.
Heat-curing: pot life up to 240 min, cures in 150 min at 60 °C.
Resin and hardener are mixed before processing in the ratio you specify. Depending on the system, the resin is cold-curing or heat-curing. We agree the mixing ratio and curing conditions with you during product development.
Pot life and mixing ratio are part of our development service, and we adapt them to your process within the development project.

Development fields do not mean that existing products are confirmed as suitable. We clarify suitability and formulation together with you when defining the requirements.
The glass transition temperature, or Tg for short, describes the temperature range in which the mechanical behaviour of a cured polymer changes significantly. For epoxy resin systems such as Tazipox, the Tg is determined for each formulation and is available on request.
Above the glass transition temperature, the mechanical behaviour of a cured resin system changes significantly: it typically becomes softer and less dimensionally stable. For applications under thermal load, such as in-building rehabilitation or CIP systems, a sufficiently high Tg is therefore an important selection criterion.
Both resins are heat-curing 2K epoxy resins with a Tg2 of 150 °C (second heating run). EP120 has a pot life of 60 min for a 100 g batch and cures in 90 min at 60 °C; EP240 has a pot life of up to 240 min and cures in 150 min at 60 °C. The modulus of elasticity is above 4,000 MPa for EP120 and above 3,500 MPa for EP240, and the elongation at break is 2.2 % and 2.9 % respectively.
The maximum temperature is the highest temperature that the reaction of resin and hardener reaches in the 100 g batch (exotherm). For Tazipox EP60 it is 148 °C, for EP120 122 °C and for EP240 112 °C.
